The Guardian recently published its list of the happiest places to live in Britain. Surbiton made it into the top 5 happiest places to live in London.
It’s no surprise to us! Here’s what the Guardian wrote:
“This is suburbia straight out of central casting … but just the good bits. It’s definitely leafy, with some lovely parks and green spaces, and lots of tree-lined streets.
The Surbiton North neighbourhood feels like a place for anyone looking to escape the urban bustle, but it’s also perfectly located for those who need quick and easy access to the Big Smoke. One of its biggest selling points is its speedy commuting time into Waterloo: the fastest trains take just 15 minutes.
A walk down St James’ Road and along one of the “River Roads” will take you to the Thames in a few minutes.”
We think Surbiton is the perfect location for international assignees looking to work from home a few days a week and commuting to their London office. You can be back home in your leafy suburb in 15 minutes from Waterloo, and then seamlessly work from your apartment balcony with the 200 mbps wifi. Our apartments are all located in a quiet spot set-back from Victoria Road aka Surbiton High Street (hence the quiet) plus you’re surrounded by restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops. It’s a 7 minute walk from the riverside and a 3 minute walk from Surbiton train station (which featured in a Harry Potter film).
In addition, neighbouring Kingston, with its excellent shopping, nightlife and Thameside restaurant scene is just a scenic 15 minute walk away, along the river.
If you’re looking for a happy please to live, please get in touch. We offer 1 bed, 2 bed and 3 bed apartments in Surbiton.
